Verify the electronic control module (ECM) calibration is correct. Check the calibration revision history found on QuickServe® Online for applicable fixes to the calibration stored in the ECM. If necessary, recalibrate the ECM.
Possible causes:
1)The oil level sensor is not receiving power from the ECM. This could be caused by an open circuit in the power supply or low voltage supplied by the primary engine ECM
2)Open return circuit on the oil level sensor circuit between the engine ECM and the oil level sensor
3)Open or short circuit on the oil level sensor signal circuit between the ECM and oil level sensor
4)A damaged oil level sensor.
Possible repairs:
1)Repair or replace the engine harness.
2)Replace the ECM.
3)Replace the oil level sensor.
