DESCRIPTION:
Engine air temperature – plausibility fault out of range (low box).
MONITORED PARAMETER:
Intake manifold and charge air cooler outlet temperature sensors.
TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:
1. Start with engine shut off.
2. Idle speed less than 900 rpm.
3. Coolant temperature greater than 65°C (149°F).
4. DPF zone 0.

None
EXECUTION FREQUENCY:
Once per drive cycle.

ENGINE REACTION:
Derate 25%
VERIFICATION:
1. Start with ignition shut off.
2. Start engine.
3. Warm up by driving vehicle so that coolant temperature greater than 65°C (149°F).
4. Let vehicle idle for greater than 5 min at less than 900 rpm.
NOTE: If there are codes present for EGR system, fix those first.
PROBABLE CAUSES:
1. Intake manifold temperature sensor.
2. Intake manifold temperature sensor harness.
3. Charge air outlet.
