PACCAR MX (2004 Emissions) Fault Code: P250E Engine Oil Level – Unlikely, Difference Too High

SET CONDITIONS:
The PCI ECU (D420) detects that the oil level has dropped too much between two measurements.

DIAGNOSTIC CONDITION:
This diagnostic runs when the ignition is keyed on and when the oil level stabilization time has elapsed.

CORRESPONDING OBD READINESS MONITOR:
None

RESET CONDITION:
This DTC changes to inactive when the fault is no longer detected.

REPAIR VERIFICATION:
1. Clear all DTCs.
2. Test drive or operate the vehicle to meet the diagnostic conditions and set conditions.
3. Did the DTC come back?
– No, repair successful
– Yes, repair unsuccessful

POSSIBLE CAUSES:
External oil leakage of the engine. After repair, refill the oil level.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
1. The oil level is measured in the oil sump by the oil level sensor (F673).
2. The engine oil temperature is measured by the oil temperature sensor (F808).
3. The oil level can be checked with the mechanical dipstick or on the master display.
