PACCAR MX (2004 Emissions) Fault Code: P2507 Engine Off Time – Data Erratic, Intermittent or Incorrect
SET CONDITIONS:
The PCI ECU detects that the power-off duration is unlikely.
DIAGNOSTIC CONDITION:
This diagnostic runs when the ignition is switched on, and the temperature after BPV was more than 227°C [461°F] at the previous ignition switch off event.
CORRESPONDING OBD READINESS MONITOR:
None
RESET CONDITION:
This DTC changes to inactive next time the ignition is keyed on and the fault is no longer detected.
REPAIR VERIFICATION:
1. Clear all DTCs.
2. Test drive or operate the vehicle to meet the diagnostic conditions and set conditions.
3. Did the DTC come back? (Can be pending, inactive or active)

– Yes, repair unsuccessful
POSSIBLE CAUSES:
This DTC may become active once, shortly after the vehicle has left the factory.
Actions:
1. Clear the DTCs.
2. Drive the vehicle and monitor with the diagnostic service tool if the temperature after BPV passes 227°C [461°F] at least once.
3. Stop the engine, key the ignition off for more than 30 minutes.
4. Key on the ignition and read the DTCs.
5. If this DTC does not reoccur, no further investigation is necessary.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The power off duration calculation feature calculates the time since the last power down. For this diagnostics, a calibrated temperature after BPV drop over time is used to check if the power-off duration of the PCI ECU is likely.
